I have a:
Intel D945GCR motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2.20Ghz)
2GB Ram
nvdia Geforce 8600GT
Is the EVGA nVidia geforce gt440 1GB the best card for my system and what is the difference if its EVGA or ZOTAC or whatever?|||yes it a good card but not the best save a little more and then go for zotac or evga gts 450 it even overtakes hd 5770 in most of the test and games :D

1GB GeForce GT240 or GT440?
which one would be better for gaming (gta iv) on my computer at the moment?
Computer specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad @2.50 GHz
4GB RAM
x64
the graphics card in it at the moment is a nVidia Ge Force 7100/ n Force 630i :)
Just wondering which one would be better to replace with :)
thanks in advance :)|||hi callum
go with the GT440 .... as mentioned both of these are not designed for gaming however even entry level cards have got enough power these days to cope with most games at reduced detail
however with the retail price of the GT440 at around £65 you would be better off with the "XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card"( http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component… )
in terms of performance the HD5770 wipes the floor with both the gt240 and gt440... and its equivelent in performance to the GTX260....
however the HD5770 requires a 450w or better power supply (with 26A or more on the +12v rails ) .... so make sure your power supply is up to scratch...but if you do need to buy a more powerful psu then i recommend the "500W Coolermaster Elite Power ATX2.3 Power Supply "( http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component… ) .... this has more than enough power to run the HD5770 and has the 6pin pci-express connectors required by the card
i know this isnt the card you wanted... however i dont like to see people short changed when buying a new graphics card... i mean why buy the inferior gt440 when you can buy a card twice as powerful for the same price
infact for around £80 you can buy the "MSI GTS 450 1GB 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card"( http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component… ) ... this is much better than the gt440 and will run the latest games with ease...... and all these cards will work well with your intel quad core cpu and 4gb of ram.....
finally if the two cards i recommended are over your budget then i would recomemend the "Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5670 512MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card"( http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component… ) ... for just £55 this is a suprisingly fast card... with a 775mhz core clock and 512mb of gddr5 memory running at 4000mhz ddr effective this will run the latest games at medium detail without any problems.. and the arctic cooling gpu cooler keeps your gpu tempertures nice and cool, even when gaming
i hope this has helped callum.... any questions let me know
good luck mate !|||If you only want to play older games like GTA IV, then go for the GT440. But if you think you'll want to play newer titles don't waste your money on either, it'll be £65 down the drain. Save up some more cash and buy something in the £150 region.
GTA IV has some fairly low recommended requirements, but anything reasonably modern will refuse to run well, or even at all on that video card.
As for brianthesnail123's comment that these cards will run most games at reduced detail, 2 things:
1. Who wants to do that? You don't buy an upgrade to play things badly.
2. No they won't. An nvidia GTS450 won't run COD4 at minimum settings, so what chance do these cards have on anything much newer than GTA IV (2008). Nil is the answer.|||Gt 440 mucho gracias.

Guys kindly tell me which is better and why .(evga gt440 1gb).or (inno 3d gt440 2gb)?
Are you going to be using 3D? probably not considering it's a 440. Are you going to be running multiple monitors in high resolutions and will need more memory? Again, probably not because it's a 440.
Get the 1GB version if it's significantly cheaper. If they're pretty much the same price you might aswell get the 2gb 3d one even though you'll never need the extra 1gb or 3d.
Edit: They are pretty much the same card but one is for high resolution multiple 3d monitor displays.|||well ok! I've changed ma mind. i will buy either gtx 560(1 gb) or hd 6950.so plz tell me which should i buy???
|||You need to provide a bit more detail. Chances are the EVGA card is better.
This is because:
1) EVGA is a higher-quality brand, the best manufacturer of Nvidia cards followed by MSI and XFX. Inno3D is middle-of the road, solid but not considered a "best" brand.
2) The amount of onboard RAM (1gb vs 2gb) has no direct impact upon gaming performance. Having a 2gb card helps if you're running at extremely high resolutions like 2560x1600 or running multiple monitors- it helps keep your frame rates from dropping. But 2gb of video RAM does NOT make a card faster. Besides, the GT 440 isn't powerful enough to game at such high resolutions!
For gaming at full HD resolution (1920x1080) you need at least a Radeon HD 5770 or GeForce GTX 550 Ti. So putting 2gb of RAM on any card models below those is just a marketing gimmick. It simply gives the card makers an excuse to raise the price.
Check the detailed specs of both cards, in particular the core & clock speed ratings. If one of them is clocked faster (for example 830Mhz instead of 810Mhz) then it will perform slightly better. But the extra onboard RAM by itself has no impact, except under conditions the GT440 isn't fast enough to handle anyway.

Which use less power gt440 or hd 5670?
I have 250w psu
plz help|||they both consume almost same amount of power and neither are going to run on that 250 watts of power supply.the best card you can install with that power supply is HD 5570 for Rs.3500 or HD 6570 for Rs.3900.if you can find HD 6570 then it will be better choice.if you want to run HD 5670 then you need a power supply upgrade.
here is power consumption chart.note that GT 240 is same as GT 440.
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/H…|||The maximum Graphics card power for the gt440 is 56watts
and the maximum board power for the hd 5670 is 64 Watts|||Well 5670 is faster then GT 440 by 2x.
I would say a GTX 460 if you want a nvidia card..
GT 440 uses very less power than HD 5670.
and Atleast upgrade to 450 W|||your psu is not at all enough, first upgrade it to 450w psu to be on safer side
gt440 uses less power but 5670 is the better card than gt440 in terms of performance|||Power usage stated is probably correct, but neither one of those card will run properly with just a 250W power supply, it will not have enough current on the +12V bus in all probability....

No output signal coming from the hdmi of inno3d GT440 1gb?
my english is bad sorry. let me discuss my question
i bought inno3d gt440 1gb DDR5 graphic cards. I used my 40" samsung LCD tv for my desktop so i use the HDMI of the graphic card. before i istalled the driver of the graphic card. its working properly. but after i installed it. my lcd tv says "mode not supported". i already try to reinstall the driver over and over again.. but same result... i also reinstalled my os (win7) still after i installed the driver of the graphic card... theres no more output signal coming from the hdmi.... if i use the VGA of the graphic cards.. it works properly...
can someone help me with these.... thanks in advance!|||Ok whats the maximum resolution of your 40 samsung lcd tv. if that lcd tv is not design for full HD then it will not work on a HDMI since HDMI outputs higher than your standard vga. Let say your lcd tv is not full HD then even though that your tv has HDMI still your it will not work since HDMI on a video card outputs higher than a standard appliance.

Can i install windows 7 ultimate on this old hard disk?
Seagate st32122a . My 500gb hard disc war slowing down so i have it for replacement. Pc specs:- i3-530 processor,dh55tc chipset,3gb ddr3 ram, gt440 gpu.|||You can.... but you also need a spiffy graphics card and enough memory to hold the OS and apps. 3 gigs of memory should be enough to hold 7. You can also install it on the back up as well.|||Yes you can|||yes u can, dont worry! go for it.|||NO. It takes 16 GB of space for w-7 32bit and 20 GB for 64 bit. The st32122a has 2.11 GB of space.|||No you can't. You can install Windows 7 on an old IDE drive but not one like this that only has a capacity of 2.1GB. This drive is only just big enough for Windows 95 or 98, even XP wouldn't fit on it.

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD5670 1GB DDR3 or Gigabyte GV-N440TC-1GI GT440 512MB DDR5?
Within my budget I found these two cards. Can you tell me which one I should buy? GT440 has DDR5, but with less memory of 512MB. Again HD5670 has more memory of 1GB, but with less power of DDR3.

Asus gt440 vs Asus gt520 silent?
Hello im just trying to see which of these graphics cards are better. I just bought my asus gt440 a month ago and walked into a computer store and found the Asus gt520 silent and the guy at the store said it was better. Is it? And by how much. This info would really help me and a friend. Here are both cards

The GT 440 isn't exactly the greatest card but it's actually twice as fast a GT 520. I'm being honest... the GT 440 really does have twice the graphics power. I'm not using a figure of speech.
The GT 520 isn't meant for gaming. It's place is a replacement for onboard graphics that don't have High-Definition playback....The GT 520 is a media card, not a gaming card. The GT 520 isn't fit to max out a game like Minecraft.
On the other hand, The GT 440 is meant to make an older system able to play PC games. You can put a GT 440 into a HP or Dell that has a 300w power supply and the card will work fine. You can play damn near every PC game on the market with the GT 440. However, you will have to turn the settings down if you're playing some of the newer games. It will work just fine with MW3.
I don't know what kind of processor you have. A good Quad-Core processor will support a faster card like a GTX 460, GTX 550ti, Radeon 6870. However these are power hungry cards that need a 450w-500w power supply. If you want to more than double your FPS, gaming power, and you do have a good processor, then a card like the Radeon 6850 or GTX 460 would be a good pick.

Im having problems installing the video card Palin GT440 on my pc?
I first inserted the disk and when the box pops up with the opcion ¨install drivers¨ I click on it and above it says, ¨No suitable driver¨.Before that, this browser pops up and says ¨No suitable driver for your current vga chip!¨. When I install the card in the pc and try to turn on the pc the monitor doesnt recognize any signal...what can I do? Thanks in advance!|||Check to make sure the card is properly inserted into the slot, even without drivers, the computer, aswell as windows will load. Once you get into windows then you should to able to run the disc that came with the card and install any software and the driver(s). Also be sure to check that the card does not require a power connection from the Power supply, which from my 2 minutes of research it does not, so that only leaves the card not being properly installed to blame, that or the card itself is DOA from where ever you got it from, if you can determine if its DOA or not, if it is, either RMA it or return it to where ever you purchased it for a replacement or a refund.
I should also mention, you may need to disable the onboard video in the BIOS, though more often then not, its not necessary.. Also make sure the cable to/from your monitor is plugged into the video card and not the onboard video port.

Can I combine GeForce 9800GT with GT440?
I have a M2N-SLI motherboard. I was thinking of using 9800GT as a Physx-only graphic card and GT440 as a primary display graphic card. Can I do that?|||if your going to use them in sli you would need 2 9800gt cards they don't need to be the same brand as long as there are the same model otherwise one card would over power the card and your motherboard could use the lower spec gpu over your higher spec gpu|||Combinations work yes, but really one card will underclock to the speed of the slowest card.
ALSO differing cards such as physx will not work, as this is a different standard of card.
Two 9800GT will do a good job, or two GT440. If you want physx buy two of the same to maximize the use of the cards.
But to be honest I don't see the big deal about physx.|||Yes, you can, BUT: since the computer needs to see the two cards as one, it will operate the better card at the specs of the lower card.|||No, you must have the same card, by the same manufacturer.

it seems my computer is running a little hotter than normal. and this might be the effects of the 400w power supply not being to handle such a big card.|||The GT 440 recommends a 300w, I have the GT 440 and I have a 300w. So the 400w should be more than enough.|||Yes

Can i play games on high if i meet reccomended requiremets?
i have a gt440 which is better than the gt240 the gt240 is reccemended for duke nukem forever so can i play it on high in other words if you meet reccomended system requirements can you play games on high|||Actually the GT 240 is slightly faster that the GT 440 in terms outright power. (385 Gflops vs. 311-342 Gflops). It's common mistake to assume that just because the the model number of the card is higher that it means that it's faster card. That's simply not the case. In this case the GT 240 is faster and will perform better than the GT 440.
Also the "recommended" video card for DNF is the 8800 GTS not the GT240. The 8800 GTS is about twice as fast as the GT 240, despite being an older card.
WIth that said the GT 240 does meed the "minimum" specs for the game, but it's unlikely you'll be running it maxed out.|||Almost any computer can play on high setting. But what your looking for is the performance. Having a weak video card can let you play on high settings, but it severely affects the performance. Meeting recommended requirements is also like that. You can play on a high setting, but it lags. I suggest putting the setting in where your computer is lag free.|||that is in a way a minimum requirement to play on high settings.i you wanna play in a good condition, get better than the recommended ones.you have better then the recommended one so yah it will work|||Those are the minimum requirements in order to run the game. Its best to exceed these requirements, especially if youre going to play on the highest settings.|||If you meet the requirements, then yes, you can play at that setting. But you might experience frame rate issues. See how it goes.

Will the Asus GT440 work in a Apple G5?
http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVIDIA_Series/ENGT440DI1GD5/#specifications|||Not a chance in hell. Even if you have the Powermac G5 with PCIe slots ("Apple G5" is hardly specific), it still wouldn't work. Assuming you have a tower, you must find specifically Mac-compatible cards or specific PC cards that can be flashed with a Mac ROM.
IS ASUS P5KPL-AM compatible with intel core 1'7, videocard: inno #D Gt440 1 GB 128 bit?pls..i need ur reply po?
it will not support an i7 though, it doesn't have the right socket|||No, it does not support the i7. Also be aware that the i7 will use a different board depending on version
Either a 1366 board,1156 board or latest an 1155 board. Also you choose to have a board to support on chip graphics or one that doesn't. mail me what you are trying to achieve and I may be able to advise.

Is the GeForce GT440 good for gaming?
Can I use it to play games such as Diablo 3?
http://www.microcenter.com/single_produc…|||yes but not on max grapics if you are looking for max graphics I recommend the GTX 460 or higher|||Diablo 3 should run fine on that GPU. Just be sure your power supply, CPU and motherboard are all up to the task as well.|||Yes but really, if you are going for something in that price range just spend an extra what 50-60? and grab yourself a hd 6850 or gtx460, they are well worth it

Plz♪♪Tell me the gameplay performance of Nvidia gt440 1gb ddr5.?
could u plz tell me the gaming performance of ths card.Games i want to play- Tomb raider underworld ,forgotten sands, call of duty black, crysis 2 ,just cause2 ,assassin's creed brotherhood...... (plz do not suggest any other card)|||Do you know what a benchmark is? Because that's what will directly tell you how well it'll handle games.
And I will suggest other cards because the GT 440 has crap performance for the price. A Radeon 5670 outruns it for less. A Radeon 6670 stomps it for around the same price.

Which is better, inno3d gt440 or geforce 9800 gt?
I am planning to buy a new pc but I need help in choosing a better graphics card.
So guys can you please tell me which is better in this two?
Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT or Inno3d Gt440? Thank you very much! :)|||The 9800 GT is definately better even though the GT 440 is the new generation Nvidia 4x series graphics card. My pc configuration is intel dual core e2180 2.0ghz, 1gb ddr2 ram @800mhz, system board intel g31/g33/p31/p35. I want to get one of those two cards.|||Nope, that GPU won't create a bottleneck.
Also, you should look at the new 6670 if it's an option for you. It's a little faster and more power efficient than the 5670.|||no.that CPU won't bottleneck those cards.go with the HD 5670.it is faster than GT 440.if you can then go with HD 6670.it is 10-15% faster than HD 5670 plus consume less power.cost is Rs.5300.
also add 2 more GB of ram as ram is very inexpensive these days.you can get 2 GB for Rs.750.1GB is really very low for gaming.|||the gpu will actually be bottlenecked because of the crappy setup but it wont bottleneck other stuff.

Can the nvidia gt440 offer better graphics than ps3 or xbox?
i have a choice to upgrade my pc to an intel core i3.4gb ddr3 ram with a nvidia gt440 or amd 5550 gddr5 i am using a full hd monitor with a resoulotion of 1920*1080 all i wanted to know is would these specs offer better graphics and quality than a ps3 or xbox on a full hd led tv(i know pc offers better graphics but dont know what specs the xbox is)|||Nope. They are usually around the same. Console ports look the same generally. The thing about computer games is you can play them in true full 1920x1080p, where you can't with PS3 or Xbox360. it's 720p, or 1080i. So you'd need something more like a GTX 460 and a non console port game to compare the differences.|||The PS3 has a chip based off of the GeForce 7800 and the Xbox has a custom ATI chip based off of the X1900. Theoretically, the GT 440 should be a bit better. However, Playstation and Xbox games have the advantage that they are made for only one set of hardware, which allows them to do optimizations that a PC game, which needs to run on a whole bunch of different graphics cards, can't do. It will probably be about the same.|||The Xbox 360 and PS3 are SIX YEARS OLD! A Nvidia GT440 is at least 4x better than the video card a PS3 has.
Gt440 good enough for gaming?
Hi is the nvidia gt440 good enough for gaming i want to play games like crysis 2,GTA IV,Black Ops,Darksiders,NFS Hot pursuit,SW Force unlished 2 on low to medium setings|||It is not meant for gaming. For nVidia card go for at least 560 Ti. For AMD card go for Radeon HD 6950.|||Not really. The GT 440 is about on the same performance level as an older 9600GT or GT 240. It will struggle with most modern games like Crysis 2. I would seriously consider going to at least a GTS 450 or Radeon 5770.
Whats the difference between the GT440 1GB DDR5 and GT440 1GB DDR3 graphics card?
i know its different kind of ram but is one better then the other one?|||GDDR5 is better- the memory just runs at a higher speed which makes the card faster.
It's just like going from DDR3-800 to DDR3-1333: faster memory gives better performance.
It's just like going from DDR3-800 to DDR3-1333: faster memory gives better performance.
Which do you think is a better Graphics card GT440 or HD6570?
In terms of a card primarily for gaming and sometimes graphic design (although I could even manage this with my onboard so i don't think it will be much of a factor) anyway out of the Nvidia GEforce GT440 or the AMD HD6570 which do you think is a better card ignoring price and whatever else|||The ATI Radeon HD 6570 is slightly faster than the GForce GT 440. It is currently ranked #121 versus #137.
Meanwhile, you can get a much better and yet cheaper card if you consider a Radeon HD 5670 (rank #78).
See this list of high-end GPUs:

What is equavilent to the gt440 in ati?
im getting a gt440 for light gaming and i wanted to make sure its the best i can get in its price range.i know the gt440 is beter than the ati 5000|||The GT 440 is between the Radeon HD 3850 and 3870.

Radeon 5570 and 5730 are worse.

What is more important cpu or gpu in gaming?
hi .i have a choice between buying an i3 cpu or a gt440 gpu currently i have a celeron 2.0ghz and onboard graphics. I dont have enough money right now to buy both so which one is more important for gaming i also have 4gb of ram my motherboard can handle both of them|||Looking at the specs of your present computer I would vote for the graphic card. The celeron is not great but on-board graphics are probably even worse. Therefore the graphic card most likely would give you the best boost...
However :
1. Are you sure that your motherboard can handle a GT440 ? You need a PCI-e 2.x 16x Interface for it !
2. If the answer to question 1 is no and you decide to buy an I3, are you sure that it will fit on your motherboard ?|||neither...if you are going to upgrade, upgrade both because if you get an i3 the motherboard will not be compatible with it...cpu socket is wrong..if you get a gt440...the cpu u have at the moment will be bottlenecking it...but i will answer your question....the gpu is slightly more important then the cpu in gaming...reason is that if you rely on intergrated graphics on your cpu...it has its important job already...that is 2 do all the calculations and display it to the user. On the other hand thats why the gpu comes in handy because it gives the cpu an easier job because the gpu is specialised in bringing up displays with performance and quality...bottom line is...save up more, upgrade motherboard, cpu and gpu and ram beacuse the newer motherboards will need some ddr3 @ 1333 frequency ram|||gpu must 512mb and cpu core 2due or higher for gaming best for i3 processor u need to upgrade motherboard

Processor I5-2500 @ 3.3 ghz
RAM- 8gb
GPU- Nvidia GT440 1G vRAM
IS- Win 7 64bit
3DS Max version: 3ds Max Design 2012
Light is it good if I use vRAY?? etc or can 3ds max run smoothly on my PC|||You have a good computer its a dual core
a good amount of ram and your graphics card is acceptable. your computer should do fine, though i have a question do you have an advanced cooling system in your computer?
Rendering is a resource intensive task and generates a lot of heat. i recommend you check out liquid cooling options for your system.
to increase performance drastically, you can switch to a solid state drive, it dramatically increases boot times and program launch times.
the default 3ds max mental ray renderer is just as good as the vray renderer. i see no point in purchasing VRAy.

Which one is better card ati radeon hd5670 ddr3 1gb or nvidia geforce gt440 ddr3 1gb ?

Asus GT440 on DDR2 motherboard?
I have a DDR2 motherboard with PCI-E... I dont think its PCI-E 2.0 .. It must b older... I have decided to buy asus gt 440 1GB DDR3 or DDR5 graphics card that supports PCI-E 2.0... Is it compatible wit ma motherboard?? I saw de image of de graphics card.. I dont think dat de long dual channel slot in de bottom wil exactly fit into dual channel DDR2 slot of ma motherboard...|||Dude the white slots at the bottom of the motherboards are the PCI slots they are for sound card or physics card or whatever....the PCI-E or PCI-E 2.0 slots are usaully bigger then the PCI slots n they are for the video cards. You can use Asus gt 440 in your motherboard if you have the PCI-E slot but its a double slot solution n u r gonna need atleast 550W of PSU(power supply unit) or more to run this thing. Make sure of what speed is your PCI-E slot x8 or x16....x16 runs faster...you should've mentioned your motherboard though for more help.
Cheers!!!|||It will fit. If your motherboard has PCI-E, it's a match (regardless of the speed). The "dual-channel slot" you refer to is only based on the cooler's thickness, and this means the card will take up two expansion slots in your case only. It fits into a single PCI-E slot though, without problem.|||Every PCI-Express video card fits in every motherboard with a PCI-Express x16 slot. The video card doesn't go in the memory slot, and it makes no difference to the video card what kind of memory your motherboard takes.

GT240 vs GT440? BOTH GDDR5 512mb?
Which one is better? The GT 240 or the GT 440? both 512mb and GDDR5. This are my options because I onlty have a 300w power supply and do not want to upgrade it that much as I am saving for a beast pc but in the mean time upgrade this crappy 8400gs card|||Not much different in graphic power between those two. The GT440 has a bit newer software, so go with that option if it's the same price or cheaper.
I agree with Vomit that the Radeon 6670 would be the better choice. I can understand user confusion here, as the GT 440 recommends a 300W power supply while the HD 6670 recommends 400W. That's a matter of AMD being more conservative in their power supply recommendations than nVidia, as the 240 and 6670 use about the same wattage for the video card itself.|||None of the above. A Radeon 6670 is probably the best you'll do. A Radeon 6570 would work if you're on the cautious side. Both are faster than either card you've listed and won't break your power supply.

gt440 is newest and best currently|||within those, the GEforce GT 440 but neither of them are value for money cards.GT 440 is just renamed GT 240 with Directx11 support where as GT 240 is rebranded 9600GT which is discontinued now.
in the budget segment,AMD cards offer better value for money than their nvidia counterparts.I suggest going with MSI/Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 for Rs.5400 which is much better than those cards.if your budget is tight then go with Radeon HD 5670.it cost same as GT 440 but it is faster.cost around Rs.4400.
Good Luck!|||GT 440 or as Saswat says 6670, more power full, same price. But you seem to be looking at nvidia only, in that case GT 440.|||I suggest u to get the HD 6670 1GB for the same price. Its much better than any of the three listed here.

Will my GeForce GT440 fit my Motherboard?
Hello,
This is the first time I am buying a graphics card and I really don't know weather it will fit my motherboard or not. My motherboard model is an ASUS P5KPL-AM EPU. And I have a 300W power supply.
When I buy the graphics card would I just fit it into my PCI-e port?
Thanks|||it will fit on the motherboard. but the problem is you will need a 500 watt or so power supply with a PCI-E power connector on it.
without the power connector it will not work at all.
also look inside your PC case and find out if behind the PCI-E slot there is a hard drive or anything, try to move it to have more room.|||Yes it will since you have a PCI Express x16 slot, but you'll need to fit a better power supply. Save a little extra and get a 1GB GTX460, it's far superior to the GT440.

Is an nvidia geforce gt440 video card any good for modern gaming?
It's More Than Enough, Don't Listen To Folks, Just Go For It, It's AweSome, I Play Advanced At Crysis 2 & The FPS Are 35+ Average, So Got For It @ :)!|||Yes it is a good card and you would also wanna consider how much RAM the card has
|||Save money for a GTX 460, with the 440 you could play modern games at a lower resolution and on low fps|||it is good

Zotac GT440 vs AMD HD 6670 which one is bettr and more suitable ?
i have a 350 W power supply in my Desktop PC and i would like to ask which one of these is better because i found that HD6670 needs 400 W to power is that true ?
and also what does the Shader Memory represent in Graphics Card technologies ?|||the 6670 is the superior card. you are advised to upgrade you power supply unit. quality is more important than simple stated wattage. a good quality 500watt should cover all your requirements for the foreseeable future. have a look at this site and decide how much you can afford!
http://www.silentpcreview.com/Recommende…|||you really dont have to have a 400watt psu but is recommended i have had a 5670 running off of a 300 watt before mainly have to put in perspective is how much load is already on the psu i personally have put seperate psu for just my gpu before|||yes it needs a 400 watt or greater power supply.so it wont work for you.but zotac gt440 is having a reccomended power of 300 watts.
so i think you MUST go with the Zotac GT440|||6670 is much better

Is a branded power supply necessary to run a graphic card like the ati 6670 or the nvidia gt440 ?
i'm talking about power supplies by antec, coolermaster and thermaltake and if yes what is the minimum wattage i would need to run these cards perfectly and will the non-branded power supply supplied with the cooler master 334 elite casing work ok with these cards ?|||You don't necessarily need a name-brand power supply for any card, but it's always encouraged. If your PSU can push at least 350w, then you'll be just fine with a 6670, which is faster than a 440 at about the same price.
The i3 2100 eats diddly squat for power. The whole system might eat 150w if you put it under a major strain. You'll be able to run a 6670 from that 420w PSU no problem.
Shack, you really need to stop posting. You're a lousy computer tech. Really, 650w for a friggin' 6670, a video card with a 65w or so TDP? 500w minimum? Are you kidding me? With a 6670 installed, this thing won't break 300w. Go back and start reading up on how much a system actually eats.|||Hi,
Both Nunya and Vomit gave you good answer.
You will need a better power supply. minimum a 500 Watts, but I would go with a 650 watts.
In this case, the 6670 is better than the GTX 440.
Other good brands and trusted:
Corsair, OCZ and the one you mentions are also good.|||I always recommend branded power supplies. If you buy a cheap one then it can easily fry your whole computer...not worth the risk IMO. Probably need a 500 watt or so. Personally I would grab a 650 or 750 so I'd be set for a couple years

What video card is better (assuming you have atleast 4gbDDR3)... the nVidia GT430 or the nVidia GT440?
Specifically for running high spec games like GTAIV or any Call of Duty.|||gt440|||The 440 is a better card. It will play most games with a good frame rate on med to high setting.
You can GTS 450's and GTS 550 for about 20.00 more..|||440|||I'll let the benchmarks speak for themselves: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/…
Both are garbage cards that aren't meant for gaming. And you're wanting to run something demanding like GTA IV? Running high-end games on low-end cards doesn't work out. Consider going with the HD 6870, or GTX 560.|||Trick question. None of the above. For the same price as a GT440, you can get a Radeon 6570 that'll stomp both.
Of course, none of them are very good gaming cards. You'll need to spend a minimum of $100 or so bucks to get something that's good for games, ie, Radeon 5770/6770 or GTX 550 Ti or better.
You're not getting it. The GT440 and 430 are both overpriced for what you get. If you're on a very tight budget, the Radeon 6570 is a superior card. End of story. If you have more flexibility in your budget, then you DEFINITELY should drop more money into a better video card.

What is better NVIDIA GeForce GT340 or Geforce GT440?
I know they are both capable of running BF3 but i just need to know which one is better. Thanks :)|||The GT 340 is slightly faster, but not by much. Neither of these cards will run BF3 well at all. In terms of overall performance both are slower than the minimum spec GeForce 8800GT.
If you are planning on play BF3 with either of these cards, be prepared for a slide show, even on low settings.|||Obviously the GT340
Because everyone knows the lower the number gets the better it is
Wait until there's a GT0, that'll be the best video card ever and nothing will be able to top it|||believe you answered your own question when asking which is beter, GT340 vs GT440, th higher the number the more powerful the GPU, contary to popular belief and 'n/a' they are not inversely proportional|||GT 440, it's more powerful. Worth the money imho.

I have install GT440 DDR3 2GB card on DG31Pr after driver installed i have facing?
We did not find results for: i have install GT440 DDR3 2GB card on DG31Pr after driver installed i have facing problem of low speed of my computer. i have 1 gb DDR2 RAM and E7200 2.53 with 3mb Cache. why is this problem occur??|||If you have a 32-bit version of Windows you just cut your system memory in half. You should only have 1.98gb that usable.
Check Task manager and see how much is being used when the system is idle.
The main reason it's running slow is you're having a software conflict or you have too much software running at once.
I would uninstall the graphics card drivers then reinstall it.
Otherwise, I would return the card for a 512mb GT 440 or a 512mb 5670. The 5670 is better and faster. On a single 1080p monitor 1gb of Video memory is more than enough. On a 1600x900 monitor 512mb is all you need.
You only need 2gb of Video memory if you're running 2 1080p displays on one graphics card.
