Asus GT440 on DDR2 motherboard?

I have a DDR2 motherboard with PCI-E... I dont think its PCI-E 2.0 .. It must b older... I have decided to buy asus gt 440 1GB DDR3 or DDR5 graphics card that supports PCI-E 2.0... Is it compatible wit ma motherboard?? I saw de image of de graphics card.. I dont think dat de long dual channel slot in de bottom wil exactly fit into dual channel DDR2 slot of ma motherboard...|||Dude the white slots at the bottom of the motherboards are the PCI slots they are for sound card or physics card or whatever....the PCI-E or PCI-E 2.0 slots are usaully bigger then the PCI slots n they are for the video cards. You can use Asus gt 440 in your motherboard if you have the PCI-E slot but its a double slot solution n u r gonna need atleast 550W of PSU(power supply unit) or more to run this thing. Make sure of what speed is your PCI-E slot x8 or x16....x16 runs faster...you should've mentioned your motherboard though for more help.

Cheers!!!|||It will fit. If your motherboard has PCI-E, it's a match (regardless of the speed). The "dual-channel slot" you refer to is only based on the cooler's thickness, and this means the card will take up two expansion slots in your case only. It fits into a single PCI-E slot though, without problem.|||Every PCI-Express video card fits in every motherboard with a PCI-Express x16 slot. The video card doesn't go in the memory slot, and it makes no difference to the video card what kind of memory your motherboard takes.
