im getting a gt440 for light gaming and i wanted to make sure its the best i can get in its price range.i know the gt440 is beter than the ati 5000|||The GT 440 is between the Radeon HD 3850 and 3870.
There isn't a card called the ATI 5000. 5000 is the series. Just as your GT 430 is a 400 series. There are 5000 cards that are better and some that are worse.
Radeon 5570 and 5730 are worse.
Radeon 5670 and 5870 are better.
Aren't Radeon cards confusing as hell?

The anal pain this caused on a continual basis was incredible, so this card was purchased to take care of that problem. Well....I'm happy to say that the GT440 got the job done in flying colors. Since I have installed this card I have had not ONE Blue Screen Of Death.
