Is a 400w power supply capable of running an ASUS gt440 graphics card?

it seems my computer is running a little hotter than normal. and this might be the effects of the 400w power supply not being to handle such a big card.|||The GT 440 recommends a 300w, I have the GT 440 and I have a 300w. So the 400w should be more than enough.|||Yes
